The Meekers
Proprietors
Kevin and Janet Meeker have been operating restaurants in the South Jersey and the Philadelphia area since 1976. Their first solo venture was Philadelphia Fish and Company, a staple of the Old City restaurant scene for over 30 years. They are also long-time partners with The Plough & The Stars, Philadelphia’s premier Irish Pub that is located in Old City. Wanting to work closer to their home in Haddonfield, Kevin and Janet decided to open a wine and craft beer restaurant in Haddon Township. That restaurant opened in 2005 and was named Cork. In 2010, they felt that their guests were looking for a more casual and comfortable experience, they decided to redo the concept in both design and name. “Keg” has grown into a standard in the South Jersey and the Philadelphia area.
Matthew Marks
General Manager
Keg’s “Drink Guy” Matthew Marks has been an industry addict since he was first tasked with pouring his Pop’s Scotch at age 4. After 15 years at various Philadelphia establishments he returned to the center of the known universe, New Jersey, where he studied craft beer and spirits under the tutelage of Mt. Holly’s Matt Kennedy. He loves classically inspired cocktails but is not afraid to get a little weird.
